We're Headed for the Hills...okay, the Bayou?

Good Morning Company Girls! Come on in. This morning I can offer you milk, Soda, and powdered or chocolate doughnuts. We are going out of town in a couple of hours so the cupboards have dwindled down to nothing!

It has been a relaxing week in the Tigerden! We have been ENJOYING the first week of summer vacation and the first week of sunshine tremendously! We have "forgotten" mommy's pledge to continue reading and math all summer in lue of going outside and breathing the fresh air and basking in the warm weather! All too soon it will pass and we will be lamenting the pounding rays of the sun, so we are taking full advantage while we can!

Yesterday was SO busy as I had eight, yes eight children at the house, dance lessons, a ball game and packing up for the weekend away! HOWEVER, our air conditioner was FINALLY fixed yesterday and for the first time in three weeks we all slept in our own rooms in our own beds. It was glorious! Now, I did learn a little through this experience. I have often seen pictures of crowded foreign countries where two or three families live in one tiny apartment and wondered how it was even possible. Well, after three weeks of two adults, 3 children and 1 toddler in a pack and play all sleeping in one 10'x10' room, I think we could do it. At least for awhile. Don't get me wrong, I much prefer NOT stepping on three or for limbs when I get up to "use the facilities" at night...but now I know I could. If I had to. Which I no longer do. Praise God!

In a couple of hours, we will head out for a long weekend in LA with Tigerfan's family. Lots of good food, good fellowship and hopefully more good weather. Hope everyone has a glorious holiday weekend! Be Safe!

Be sure to check out the Home Sanctuary blog for more Coffee Talk!

Hooray for the AC! I even turned ours on yesterday :)

Have a great, safe trip - hope it is relaxing and fun at the same time!

Sounds so busy!

Thankfully we don't have to use our AC until July & August when it's absolutely unbearable. We prefer conserving energy by using fans and enjoy the fresh air from open windows.

Yay for AC! It doesn't get too too hot over here, but I hate that when it does the kids will be all sweaty and their hair gets plastered to their heads. We're thinking about getting it installed for the summer. We'll see...

You scenario of stepping over limbs reminds me of the short-term missions trips that we took or the camping trips with the youth group. haha Glad everyone will be comfy now. =)

Have a wonderful weekend.

Loving our AC right now too - we have a few weeks last year when it was out and they weren't fun. :)

Have a great trip.

8 children?!? YOU are a supermom!! wow! Sounds like you have a great weekend ahead. Say hi to my family back home as you drive through! ;-)

Oh man the AC is sooooo important! Ours acts up every summer and every time I spend hours praying it will make it another year. So far so good, but I know in the next month or so it will get so hot it won't matter if it's working or not. ugh. Enjoy the nice weather while you can.

Thanks for the coffee! Have a great weekend.

We finally got the AC fixed in our van this week which I was ever so grateful for since I went w/o it all last summer! We haven't had enough warm weather yet in Ontario to turn it on in the house yet!

Enjoy your weekend away.

Isn't a house full of kids fun, though I think 6 has been the limit at our house (at least when I've been the only adult.)
