Coffee Talk

Good Morning Company Girls! I am posting from my bedroom this morning as I hide out with Tigercub trying to keep him quiet while the rest of the house sleeps...not an easy task! If you stop by later in the day I can offer you some home made cinnamon rolls and even some coffee. I know, if you have been around here long you know we don't drink coffee, but my brother does and I even purchased a new coffee pot for the occasion---so drink up, when he is gone, so is the coffee.

I have missed Coffee Talk like crazy, it seems much longer than just two weeks. Hopefully everyone had a blessed holiday season!

It has been a whirlwind around here with Christmas and Tigerfan's sister and family visiting and now my adopted (sort of) brother and his family visiting. There hasn't been a dull or restful moment, but it has definitely been action packed!

Don't forget to stop by Home Sanctuary for more Coffee Talk!

Sometime this week I hope to begin loading some pictures, but I am on the laptop today and don't have them on this computer. As for this weekend, we will spend today with my brother and his family and with Tigerfan's parents. His daddy was a New Year's baby so along with celebrating The New Year, we will celebrate his birthday. I am sure there will also be lots of light saber fights between my boys and my nephews and hopefully a little peace in there somewhere, although I am not holding my breath!

As for all the productive plans I had for the holidays...let's see: Reorganizing school room-not done, Planning out January's menu-not done, helping FB complete his science fair project-not even begun, preparing centers and activities to keep Dancer and Tigercub busy on school days-not done...well, I guess you can give me consistency!

I did get the linen closet cleaned out and organized and I have great plans in my head for the rest of the house, maybe a few of them will see daylight! So, how about you? Did you have a productive break and are you all organized for the new year? Can't wait to hear from and visit you all, it will probably take me most of the weekend to get around to everyone, but I will do my best to get by! For now, HAPPY 2010, praying for a year of blessings!

Happy New Year! It was a quiet New Year here. All of our Christmas company went home and our usual friends that come around on New Year's couldn't make it this year. (Which is fin with me because I am sporting a pretty nasty cold.)

The snow began to fall about 6:00pm and it snowed right into 2010. I stayed up late with my husband doing a puzzle. At 11:00pm I ended up going to bed because I could hardly keep my eyes open. (I'm feeling rather old.) But I woke up again at midnight to hear the fireworks and celebration of some of our neighbors. Just long enough to whisper a prayer of thanks to bring in 2010 and go back to sleep!

Have a great weekend!

Well, December didn't see much organizing here either but i hope to do better as a company girl in the new year. My closet is still calling for help and I just keep poking things in there.
Having family visit is wonderful. We're having a quiet day, watching football and parades. Planning a menu for the month sounds great. I used to do that.

I'm agfraid that when it came to my jouse I have had , what my eldest son calls, a 'slothful' break! I just said to hubby that we must get some vacuuming done today! We did get away to Pennsylvania for 3 days to the sight and sound theatre there! It was wonderful!
Happy New Year!

My husband is right now clearing out the linen closet. We already have 4 big black bags of stuff to give / throw away, and he must be only half way through. This was long overdue as you can tell.

Good morning! I was trying to keep my 2 year old quiet while doing Company Girl Coffee. That is impossible! She woke up her daddie (my husband) and got put in the corner. I'm just glad she didn't wake her older brother up. He would've been crabby.

I am packing and getting ready to move, so I don't have much to do as far as organizing goes. I will continue to try to keep my new house organized throughout the year. Just do what you can;one thing done is better than none. Don't be too hard on yourself. You don't have to get everything done in one day. Happy New Year!!

Happy New Year!

hmmmm...am I all organized for the coming year...mmmmm...NO! I have BIG plans to get that way, though! TODAY! hehe...I know it won't happen, but it is a start...I know that the best executed plans have to actually start as a plan, and that, I have done!

I am with you and the list of the not done, but, if I remember correctly, you have had a crazy year...revel in what you DID do!

Happy New Year!

You've had a busy Christmas. It's hard to get the to do list done with extra company. My list is much like yours :/ I brought school books with me to my parents house with intentions of getting the spring school schedules lined up. I still have opportunity to do that. I just needed to visit first :)
I need to prepare some activities for my 3 and 2 year old too. I'd love to hear what you are doing...I'm not very original. I need all the help I can get.
Happy New Year!

Yes, it has been crazy around here too. I've been cleaning like a mad woman today and listening to my "elevator music." All is well and I look forward to getting "back on track" now that the holidays are behind us. Looking forward to a calmer and perhaps less eventful 2010. Love to you and yours!

I always think I am going to accomplish more than I actually do on breaks like this. We did clean our our basement storage room...with a movie out as a reward for the fam. Otherwise...not so much productivity. I am hoping to work on my menu too...I'm not good at that. Today is taking down the decorations...

happy new year!

Yeah. I didn't get a whole lot accomplished during the break either. I'm right there with you. But hey, let's be optimistic about the new year and think of all the things we WILL do.....

Hope your New Years Day was nice and I will pray for a great 2010 for you. Thanks for being a great Company Girl!!!

Happy New Year - hope you enjoyed a quiet morning - and thank you for the lovely cinnamon rolls...

Sometimes I wish a New Year would come around more often - that burning desire I get to really straighten things up and get serious about my cleaning! Maybe I need to look at the 1st of each month that way and accomplish more. =)

Praying a wonderful new year to you and your family!

Your holiday plans went about as well as mine did. I had lots of things planned which mostly went undone. Oh well. It sounds like you are off to a productive start to the New Year. Have a great one!

I'm glad I'm not the only one with lots of things "not done". I'm trying to remedy that situation in the coming weeks.

Sounds like our holidays. It's been one thing after another. I don't mind it since it's really nice to catch up with family, but my home takes a beating. I'm hoping for a quieter week to get refreshed and reorganized, and probably re-everything else. Enjoy the rest of the festivities! Happy new year!

Oh, and about those Christmas gift-tag labels...I had a dream that I started a business. $5.99 for 12, all customized. I looked online after that and I found that if you do personalized with just your own photo, but the one your gifting, it's $5 for 10 or something like that. haha I wasn't too off in my dream. =p

I'm with you on the whole not getting quite as much done during the break as I expected... but what I am realizing is that, although some of my "to-do" list didn't get done, some un-expected things DID. So it all works out! And I'm working on a new perspective when approaching housework (finally clued in!), so that's good too. May YOUR new year be merry and lovely!

I finally made it by for some coffee, albeit really, really late. Snuggled up in bed with Tigercub typing up your Company Girl post sounds like a pretty good way to start the day.

I've got part of the holiday decorations taken down, and I have to get a haircut this afternoon. Ugh. Then onto filling up trash bags and getting some writing done.

Hope you had a Happy New Year!
